This is how it all started

Twenty-three eager people arrived at the Raymond Island Community Hall on Tuesday 14th. April for the inaugural meeting of Raymond Island Table Tennis. Complete beginners to experienced players, Keenagers to quite mature people, men and women, enjoyed an energetic meeting. The evening augured well for the future of the organization, which operates under the auspices of the Bairnsdale and District Table Tennis Association.

Ralph Middleton, the prime mover behind the push to get table tennis going on Raymond Island said "It is hoped that everyone who played this week returns. Having just completed a level 1 coaching course, being involved with Teenagers and playing pennant in the local Bairnsdale competition, it would be nice to help newcomers to the game and build a strong club."

Everyone is welcome at 7.30pm. Every Tuesday at the Raymond Island Community Hall.
