Someone else’s ferry ( two )
Hi
Here is another ferry. A very simple operation and easy to maintain as all the mechanicals are on the deck.
It is the Jardine River ferry nearly at the top of Cape York Peninsula, $80-00 return valid for a month only.
Cheers Garry Kenner
We thought you might be interested in seeing someone else’s ferry.
It crosses the Clarence River about 80 km south of Ballina. Not very big, BUT VERY CHEAP
We did not hang around up there as we had to get home to water our nature strip as it seemed to be dying.
Cheers

Story of the week
One more Rabbit Island
Hi everyone
For those who followed the Rabbit islands story in RIM we discovered on our recent holidays that there is at least one more Rabbit Island.
We just came back from a beautiful holiday in Cambodia and Laos and discovered on our last week at the south east coast of Cambodia, via Kep, a little island called Rabbit Island. It's about the same size or just a bit bigger than Raymond Island and is surrounded by water !!! You take a 20min boat ride there and voila... there are small wooden huts with hammocks for $7.00 a night available, small restaurants with fresh seafood and yummy local food, and the best body massages right there on the beach for (wait for that)$5.00 for a whole hour - pure bliss.
Have enclosed a few pictures, just to clarify this matter.
Looking forward, as always, to the next monthly RI Newsletter
Cheers and keep up the good work.
