Dad's Army on the move
The workers
Landcare applied and received a community grant to erect a new fence adjacent to the tip to revegetate the site.
Under Rowan Smith’s watchful eyes work has begun by slashing the area so the fencing contractor has plenty of room to do his work.
We will keep you informed of the progress.

.The area has been slashed and the fence is up. Nothing much else is going to happen there for the next few months.

It is planned to let the new-growth bracken reach a height of about 300 to 400mm and then it will be sprayed with " Brush-off ". After that gums will be planted.

It is pleasing to note, that since the slashing just a few weeks ago new growth understorey plants can be seen everywhere.
