What's the latest with Landcare ?
April 2012
Currently there are four active projects.

FERRY PARK :
The next action will be the placing of additional rocks in the creek bed. Nut
grass in this area has to be removed. There is  always some weeding and/or
poisoning in progress and gaps in garden mounds to be filled. At the last
meeting Charlie Murray was asked to look for more suitable seedlings.
Claire Williams is the contact

CORNER FIFTH  & TWELFTH
Over the last few months we planted approximately 40 coastal manna gums.
Most have survived. They are protected by wire guards. We intend to plant
more within the next three months. Some understorey plants have appeared
since the rains.
Bernadette Pianaro Williams is the contact.

OLD REVEGE SITE  ( off Seventh )
Bracken clearing is continuing. Additional manna gums will be planted
together with wattles. All mannas are wire-protected with undergrowth plants
for company.
Since the bracken clearing commenced, native grasses and bushes are
returning.
Peter Johannsen is the contact.

TIP EXTENSION
An area between Eleventh and Seventh has been cleared and will be fenced.
Coastal manna gums, banksias and understorey bushes/grasses will be
planted.
Rowan Smith is the contact.
