These photos are supplied by him( all bar one concern the old ferry which started it's life in the 60's)
Garry Kenner remembers the "OLD FERRY "
The first day of the " new " ferry . Just before its first trip at Easter (in the 60's ) Note the lack of super structure at this this stage .
Over 30 years later. The ferry on its LAST trip. Notice the difference in the added super structure compared to its first trip. Garry Kenner tells us that a lot of the photos he has supplied originate from Bob Spencer
Ferry Party. Saying good by to the Ferry at Christmas '97. No one wanted to go home. The party lasted well in to the evening
A fire started near the old fruit-fly station on Princess h'way and went all the way to Duck Arm

The old Punt (in the  '60's) It sank a number of times. Before the  old ferry was motorized there was a motorized fishing boat running at the same time . People would only hand haul the ferry if they required it

People would say that the punt's maximum load was four Mini Minors
Bob Spencer's brother Bill trying to load his caravan ('66 )
Unloading a caravan on the mainland. Also looking across to the old ice works
