We thought you ferry folk would appreciate these photos
This ferry was a bit like Ugly Betty
Photo was taken in ‘Whitianga’ North Island NZ (Wh sounds like F)
The ferry crosses the bar at about the same distance as the Raymond island ferry
...but against the strong incoming currents ....so it crosses the entrance sideways
Cost is $4 adult return and the ferry operates all day
Its privately run ....and we enjoyed the ride
