This maybe of interest to some long time Raymond Islanders.

Garry Kenner’s mother  Phil Kenner past away on the 5-7-11
at a Mornington nursing home aged 92.

Phil owned 14 Seventh Pde from 1965 to her passing, a period of 46 years.

Below is  a photo of  her and Garry’s Dad  Peter  taken about Christmas 1965

Garry remembers that it rained cats and dogs
(as we used to say)
The caravan photo was taken at 14 Seventh Pde before my parents built the house about 1965
l was 14 yrs old . The car was a new Holden HD wagon
Mum and Dad payed 400 pounds or $800 for the block, it still had lines and furrows on it as it was  a vegi garden by a person called Klempze, his name comes up on lots of old land sections on the Island.
The photo above as Garry remembers
