The Bendigo Bank, their staff and the volunteer local District and
Community Bank board members, which conduct their activity under
strict Bendigo Bank and Commonwealth statuary regulations, care for
and financially support local needs.

Since opening for business our own Paynesville and District Branch
has to date returned an astonishing $ 150,000 to the Paynesville,
Newlands Arm, Eagle Point and Raymond Island communities.

The Bank will continue to support local projects.

With that in mind the Paynesville and District Community Bank staff
and board members held a community consultation evening at the
Cruiser Club last night (2nd April).

This was conducted by having small groups listing their views about
local matters. Later all  groups exchanged their ideas and it was no
surprise that many had similar projects in mind. There was a fair
sprinkling of Councillors and Shire staff in attendance who no doubt
took notice of the issues raised.
Do other banks in Australia do what the Bendigo Bank does ?
Light refreshments were served and the opportunity to mix with fellow locals was welcomed by all.
The evening reinforced the respect in which the Paynesville and District Community Bank is held in the area.
The District Bank’s chairman, Glenn Williams explained that the large volume of information gathered will be made public as soon as it is
collated.
