This is what we said about the Carol night last year.

The Community Carols night, led by a group of musicians from the island, turned into one of the warmest events on one of the winteriest of evenings. We were treated to carols, Christmas songs, musical interludes, and all-in, roof raising numbers.
The small orchestra and the hall-full of singers warmed to each other from the start creating a precious feeling of celebration. New musical arrangements gave well known tunes depth and texture and the line-up of bass, two violins, saxophone, oboe, clarinet, flugelhorn and harmonica created a pleasant variety of tones in different combinations.
The easy and free spirit of the evening created some moving musical moments as everyone in the hall shared each others company. The programme, which consisted of some twenty or so pieces, and an intermission with refreshments aplenty, finished with lots of bangers, shakers and ringers...and encores!
It was a night for treasuring and remembering. As they say, you had to be there.

It will be just as much fun this year.
