Community of St Barnabas
Short term communities: May-October 2011

Over the next few years it is envisaged that the Community of St Barnabas will evolve as a small, full time residential Christian
community, living in Ena Sheumack House and committed in prayer and practice to the work of The Abbey of St Barnabas.
Presently, however there are no full time residents. At the Bishop’s invitation, visitors are invited to stay at Ena Sheumack House, to pray in St Barnabas Church and to care for the Abbey. We anticipate this pattern will continue till May 2011.
From May 2011 we are seeking to establish a more regular
presence of prayer and support. Alongside the development of The First Abbey Program (May- October 2011), we are seeking to
establish a pattern that includes short term/2 week praying communities living in
Ena Sheumack House.
Individuals who feel called to support the development of The
Abbey program in prayer are invited to spend a 2 week period at Ena Sheumack House. At any one time we would hope to have at least three people who together form a short term community, pray in St Barnabas Church and support The First Abbey Program as it becomes appropriate.
