The Environmental Taskforce:
Interested?

At the heart of The Abbey of St Barnabas is the desire to seek the restoration of the deep balance of all creation, to find the place of rhythm and spirit within the wonder of God’s creation, and to care for the environment in very practical and everyday ways.

The Environmental Taskforce will give leadership in these matters. It will engage with local environmental practitioners and specialists to understand the issues of our area and the unique position of The Abbey of St Barnabas at A’Beckett Park on Raymond Island.

The taskforce will offer suggestions to the Working Group on the following:

· buildings and infrastructure

· care for the natural environment

· sustainability principals in the use of water, power, waste etc

· environmental reflections and learning for inclusion as part of The Abbey Program

This taskforce is for those with a special interest and/or expertise in environmental matters and a desire to work with others to care for our environment at The Abbey of St Barnabas at A’Beckett Park.
